Position title: Editor Intern
Where: Durham, NC, USA (American Underground office)
Description of the position: Edit ProcessMaker product documentation for proper English-language usage, conciseness, and accuracy. Follow the "Microsoft Manual of Style", Fourth Edition for language style and consistency. Product documentation is located here: http://wiki.processmaker.com/. This documentation is published on a Drupal 7 wiki.
This provides an intern an exciting opportunity to work with a multi-national team working on enterprise-class software products.
You will work under the Documentation Manager's supervision and guidance.
Edit documentation for a sophisticated enterprise-class software application
Proficient in editing documentation in HTML format
Despite working under the Documentation Manager’s supervision, have proper time management and initiative to manage your work tasks well
Native English speaker
Degree in Professional Writing, Technical Writing, Communications, or similar degree
Excellent written English, including good spelling and grammar
Proficient in HTML
Experience with Google Docs
Experience writing standard operating procedures and instructions
Comfortable writing and editing software-related documentation
Meticulous eye for detail and consistency
Experience writing Marketing communications would be beneficial but not necessary
