Looking to put your marketing skills to use for good? We’re looking for a creative, dynamic, energetic Marketing Manager to join our award-winning tech startup creating new solutions to crisis response. You’ll join our team as a thought partner and strategist, working alongside our small but mighty team of tech, community and executive talent to help us grow NeedsList’s membership of nonprofit and corporate partners who are committed to transforming disaster relief and humanitarian aid. We’re looking for a B to B marketing professional who can move fluidly between strategy and implementation, taking the ideas we co-create with our team and partners and putting them into solid marketing campaigns that will inspire prospects and convert them into members.  

We need you to bring to this position all the marketing tools you have in your toolbox, including email marketing, content marketing, digital advertising and social media. And while most of this position is digital, who’s to say we can’t have some offline fun as well?

Tools we use that you’ll need to be familiar with or get up to speed with quickly:

  • HubSpot

  • MailChimp

  • Asana

  • Canva

  • Google Drive


  • Plan and execute all digital marketing with a focus on B to B, including SEO/SEM, content strategy, email marketing (including drip marketing campaigns),  social media and display advertising campaigns

  • Grow our social media presence

  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)

  • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights

  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies

  • Plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests

  • Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience

  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points

  • Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels

  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners

  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate


  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field

  • 3+ years working experience in digital marketing

  • B to B marketing experience

  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate

  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels

  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments

  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics

  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools

  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

  • Familiarity with HubSpot, MailChimp

  • Ability to travel occasionally to Toronto and domestically

Nice to have: bilingual (English/Spanish)


Compensation: $50,000 base compensation with flexible benefit plan including health reimbursement, unlimited PTO, equity after 6 months, ability to work remotely part-time.
